Guided Sanctuary Snowshoe Hikes 

The best way to see The Ridges is to join one of our naturalists on a two-hour guided hike. Sanctuary hikes run Fridays and Saturdays through March. View our upcoming hike schedule HERE.


Story Hour at The Ridges – Saturdays @ 11:00 am

Join the Ridges Staff for Story Hour! We will be reading nature themed books, featuring local authors, and will accompany each story with a related craft to take home. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate while visiting with us.

Owl Prowl – Friday, March 10 & Saturday March 11, 6:00 – 7:30pm

Join the Ridges naturalists to learn more about the owls of Door County and the characteristics that make them amazing nighttime hunters. We’ll head into the night to listen and then return to the Cook-Albert Fuller Center for a mug of hot chocolate by the campfire (weather permitting). Suitable for all ages. Owl-O-Rama – March 11, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

Join us Saturday, March 11th for Owl-O-Rama! These fascinating birds of prey are known for their distinct calls, nocturnal habits, and silent flight. There’s something for everyone who gives a hoot about these remarkable raptors! We have great learning experiences for the entire family from crafts to night hikes to live owls! Guided Appel’s Bluff Hikes – March 5, 2:00 pm

Join a naturalist to explore this varied landscape featuring ledges, a hardwood forest, and open fields. Moderate to easy hiking. Wear appropriate footwear. Click here for more details


Blue Bird Nest Box Workshops – March 18, 10:00 am

Eastern bluebird populations are back on the rise thanks to the help of nest box building enthusiasts! Continue to help by learning what bluebirds need to survive and create a nest box to
take home. Meet us at The Ridges Workshop to make your very own bluebird nest box. Tools and materials for one box provided. Additional kits – $5 Click here for more details.

Guided Logan Creek Hikes – March 19, 2:00 pm

Explore the beautiful landscape of this 170-acre parcel on Clark Lake featuring upland hardwood forest, lowland cedar hemlock forest and frontage along Clark Lake and Logan Creek.
Moderate to easy hiking. Wear appropriate footwear and bring binoculars if desired. Location: Meet at Trailhead, 5724 Loritz Road
