Join us Saturday, December 9th from 3 – 6 PM for our magical holiday party!

You deserve to spend a few hours this holiday season surrounded by the natural beauty of The Ridges Sanctuary. Stroll down the softly lit Hidden Brook Boardwalk and join us in our beautifully decorated Kaye Cabin, while sipping on warm cider, eating delicious cookies and listening to holiday music. This program offers a wreath-making workshop, holiday crafts, and even marshmallows and chestnuts around the open fire. Guided hikes and tours of the Range Light are available throughout the event.

How to enjoy Natural Christmas at The Ridges Sanctuary 2023: 

HOW TO PREPARE: Natural Christmas is a free event (*with the exception of wreath making)! Most festivities are outside; you’ll want to walk along our luminary-lit boardwalks to get to the cabins. Be sure to wear your SNOW BOOTS! The paths and trails can be ICY in places. Please remember that hiking is at your own risk. You’ll also want to wear warm layers so you can stay warm while enjoying the beauty of the Sanctuary!

*No registration is necessary for this wreath-making workshop, but it is first come, first serve! Wreath making is $30, which includes materials for one wreath per household. Additional wreaths and swags are $15 each.

HOW TO GET THERE: Natural Christmas begins at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 9th! We encourage you to park in town or near our Nature Center to be able to walk the luminary-lit boardwalks to the cabins and workshop where the party is! The Ridges Sanctuary Cook-Albert Fuller Nature Center, 8166 State Hwy 57 Baileys Harbor, WI, 54202.

Parking is limited by the cabins. Parking in the lot closest to the cabins is reserved for handicapped parking. The BEST place to park is in town by our nature center so you can enjoy our luminary-lit boardwalk! 

WHAT TO EXPECT: From 3:00 – 6:00 PM, we will have the following available to make it the most festive holiday party of the year! At this old-fashioned holiday celebration, you can:

…walk down the softly lit boardwalks.

…enjoy the beautifully decorated Kaye cabin, delicious cookies, warm cider, hot chocolate, and beautiful holiday music. 

…make holiday crafts for all ages at the Marshall Cabin.

…join a Guided Hike and/or Range Light Tour throughout the evening. 

…make a holiday wreath at our Workshop.

…roast treats over an open fire and enjoy the beauty of our natural surroundings!
